¿How to get there?

Railway (Metro or FGC)

The single ticket in Barcelona costs about 2.50€ each ticket but there is the option to buy a T10 which is a 10 tickets card that costs about 10.30€ and it can be used in any public transport (Metro, FGC, bus or train). This ticket is not available in the airport ticket machines but you can buy it at any other metro station. It is the cheapest way of travelling. Then, our recommendation is to buy a single ticket to move from the airport to any other place and then buy this T10 tickets card that is multipersonal (more than one person can use it).

  • From Airport T1
    • Line 9 (orange) from Aeroport Terminal 1 to the station Europa | Fira or the station Fira. The ticket costs about 4.5€.
  • From Airport T2
    • Line 9 (orange) from Aeroport Terminal 2 to the station Europa | Fira or the station Fira. The ticket costs about 4.5€.
  • From Sants Estació (Train or metro stations)
    • Take the Metro line 5 (blue) from Sants Estació to Collblanc station. Then take the line 9 (orange) to the station Europa | Fira or the station Fira. The ticket costs about 2.5€.
  • From Plaça Espanya
    • Option 1: Take the Ferrocarrils Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) from Plaça Espanya to the station Europa | Fira. The lines S8, S33, R6, R5 or S4 arrive there. The ticket costs about 2.5€.
    • Option 2: Take the Metro line 1 (red) from Plaça Espanya to Torrassa Station. Then take the Line 9 (orange) to the station Europa | Fira or the station Fira. The ticket costs about 2.5€.

Bus

The single ticket costs about 2.5€ but the T10 ticket can be used also.

  • Line 72
  • Line 79

Car

The Gran Via venue is located in a new business development area, connected to the main motorways and roads to Barcelona: AP-7, AP-2, A-2, C-16, C-58, C-31, C-32, C-33.

Taxi

The taxi in Barcelona is quite expensive (even more from the airport) so try to find another way to arrive to the venue. If there is not other option there is a mobile app called FREE NOW (mytaxi) to book taxis. Remember that Uber or Cabify don’t work in Barcelona.

Schedule

The event will be held on September 20th, 21st, and 22nd of 2019. After closing registrations, the final schedule is the one presented here (subjected to small changes after check-in). IMPORTANT: Athletes must be in the competition area one hour before their competition starts.

Skaters, Judges, Speaker & DJ

There are 129 registered skaters coming from 11 different countries. The files containing the athletes and the events that they are participating can be downloaded in Excel format or PDF format. If the event appears in orange (Classic Pairs), it indicates that there is some mistake in the registration (maybe they didn’t specify the pair, the pair didn’t register to this event or pairs doesn’t match). This mistake should be solved during check-in.

International judges during this competition are Vladimir Tkachev (RUS), Rafal Rackmann (POL), Duma Sandor (HUN), Anna Horvath (HUN), Carlos Moreno (FRA), Jon Larrucea (ESP), Pablo Christiaens (ESP) and Patricia Agudo (ESP).

The speaker in this competition is Aleix Julià (ESP) and the DJ is Guillermo de Melo (ESP).

Accommodation

There are many accommodations close to the venue but due to the fact that the zone is considered as a business/congress place, the prices are normally quite expensive. Here some hotels close to the venue:

Our recommendation is to search a hotel that has direct connection with the competition metro line (orange line, L9) which implies to find any hotel close to the Torrassa or Collblanc stations. Here some recommendations:

Or close to the FGC stations (Plaça Espanya, Magòria La Campana or Ildefons Cerdà). Here some recommendations:

Food & Services

Close to the venue (5-10 mins walking) there is a shopping mall called Gran Via 2 that contains a huge variety of restaurants, shops and a supermarket where you can buy food or whatever you need. Here you can find the shopping center website.
